Our Story

Two people, three years, one business built from scratch.

Kinteh Cashews didn't start with a business plan. It started with a conversation in a hotel in The Gambia in 2022.

Stephen and Ebrima hit it off immediately. What began as a friendship quickly became something more — a shared belief that they could build something real together.

In the early days Stephen sent Ebrima a laptop and brought him on as an assistant for his UK recruitment business. Small beginnings. Ebrima then sourced land. Stephen bought it. Together they built a house. Then came an investment in a cement trading business. More land. More buildings. A slow, deliberate accumulation built on trust.

They dug a well on the compound. The whole neighbourhood uses it. The internet connection they installed draws kids from the surrounding area who sit outside the compound gates every day.

Every step was funded by Stephen and delivered by Ebrima on the ground. No contracts between them. No lawyers. Just two people backing each other.

Kinteh Cashews is the latest chapter. Ebrima sources the raw cashew nuts from local farming families in The Gambia, oversees processing and peeling, and ensures quality at every stage. Stephen handles the UK side — packing, selling, and getting the product into the hands of people who care about what they eat and where it comes from.

There are no middlemen. No mystery. What you're eating was grown in West Africa by people we know personally, processed by hand, and shipped directly to us.

This isn't just a cashew business. It's what happens when two people decide to do something that actually matters.
